If you join us for a virtual hiring event, you must register ahead of time (just like an in-person event). We recommend testing the system on the device you plan to attend with prior to the start of the event.
-
When you log in, the virtual profile you created during registration will be visible to other attendees
- If you use a photo in your profile, it should present a polished/professional image. (Think LinkedIn, not Facebook.) Using a photo is not required, but it can help a hiring manager remember you.
- The name and email address you use for registration should match the name in your application so that hiring managers can find you easily in the New Teacher Finder.
- You will enter the event lobby, where you will be able to see available schools, district representatives, and program staff who are at the event.
- Hiring managers will identify which subject areas they are seeking candidates for.
- Join the queue for the schools you are interested in connecting with – if there is a wait, visit another school’s booth or check-in with program staff to ask any questions you may have.
- While chatting with hiring managers, use professional language and spelling. The event format has similarities to texting or instant messaging, but do not forget that this is a professional setting.
- If you are interested in connecting further with the school or hiring manager, ask to schedule a follow-up visit or call.
- All virtual events are held on Radancy, and the FAQ section on their website is a valuable source of information.
