(1) Will I be on camera? Radancy is both a chat and video-based networking tool, meaning that you will have the option to type and/or be on camera. Typically hiring managers will invite candidates to connect via another web-based platform at a later date.
(2) How can I maximize my time at the event? Each chat session is a maximum of 10 minutes with the option for school administrators to extend. Note that many schools see this as an opportunity to have a brief, first touch with candidates and therefore might only chat with you for a short amount of time. We encourage you to send follow-up emails to hiring managers who sparked your interest in order to extend the conversation, as well as offer additional availability to schedule future touch points. It is likely that you might not be able to speak to multiple hiring managers, so you should be prepared to email hiring managers following the event.
(3) How many school administrators will I be able to talk to? The Radancy networking center has a capacity for up to 100 schools. Given the demands on the time of school administrators, it is possible that not all booths will be full, or that schools might only be able to attend the event for a fraction of the time. Our events are heavily attended, so you should not expect to speak to more than 1-2 hiring managers and there is a chance that you might not have the opportunity to speak to the hiring managers of your choice. In the event you are unable to speak to a school that you had wished to speak to, our office will send out the contact information for schools after the event.
