In a survey sent to 2021-2022 NYC DOE new hires on a rolling basis beginning on June 30, 2021, we found that candidates were hired the following ways:
1) 41.9% of candidates reached out to schools via email
2) 19% of candidates were contacted by schools through the New Teacher Finder
3) 15.2% of candidates met the school at an NYC DOE Brazen Networking event
4) 4.8% of candidates met the schools at other networking events
5) 19% of candidates met schools another way (most were employed in another capacity at the school)
